Sunbird RC is the core engine within DIVOC, a globally recognized DPG for vaccination and health credentialing. Using Sunbird RC as a versatile building block, DIVOC has digitized the generation of vaccination certificates, available electronically and as printable copies from a centralized database. Governments including India, Sri Lanka and the Philippines have implemented DIVOC (built on Sunbird RC) to launch efficient digital vaccination platforms.

DIKSHA
Sunbird RC is part of India's massively adopted DIKSHA school education platform, used at population scale. DIKSHA (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing) is India's national school education platform, adopted by all 36 states and UTs — reaching nearly every student and teacher in the country, and one of the largest education platforms in the world. Student, teacher and school registries are core building blocks, and can be enabled by the Sunbird RC building block.

With 500,000+ learners onboarded and 10,000+ courses, it focuses on vocational and soft-skill development, helping participants build expertise for emerging job opportunities. The platform issues verifiable credentials and certificates that enhance learners' career prospects.
Organ Pledge Registry
A government health agency created an Organ Pledge Registry — a centralized repository of individuals in the country committed to donating organs. It verifies the authenticity of people pledging organs, so only legitimate individuals are included, instilling trust in the system. The registry generates verifiable digital pledge certificates from registration data, including multilingual certificates for the country's diverse population.
Unified Learners Passport (ULP)
A single digital credential source for learners across levels, making it easy to discover and access opportunities for academic or professional growth. ULP lets learners aggregate and display their educational achievements, skills and experiences, and share credentials effortlessly — streamlining verification for both learners and opportunity providers. A pilot has been launched.
eLocker
A successful PoC for a digital wallet system that lets users securely manage digital documents, including government-issued IDs and academic certificates. eLocker removes the need for physical storage, reducing the risk of loss or damage, and demonstrates the efficiency and security of this approach to digital document management.

Organizations are using Sunbird RC to issue proof-of-achievement credentials to participants in a variety of events they host.
Vehicle Registry
A successful PoC that adds verifiable credentials to both number plates and registration cards, raising trust and security in the automotive ecosystem. It streamlines the registration workflow and sets the stage for seamless authentication and accountability in vehicle management.

One of Sunbird's building blocks uses Sunbird RC as a key component, enabling registries of the actors involved — volunteers, agencies, needs and need types — and making these registries more efficient and organized.
Farmer Registry
A government agency is building a platform on Sunbird RC to issue verifiable credentials to farmers. Each farmer will receive a unique farmer ID along with a digitally verifiable credential, and the registry will be dynamically linked to their farmland plot records — laying the foundation for swift, efficient and transparent delivery of government services and schemes.
NSDC
NSDC runs its national skilling ecosystem on the Sunbird RC "Skill and Work Credentials" architecture, maintaining a registry of candidates and their training/employment records. It issues verifiable, portable credentials at enrollment, course completion and employment verification — instead of relying on paper certificates. At scale, this registry holds around 200 million entries.
